From backyards to banquet halls Karl has been entertaining and ministering to children around the country and around the world through puppets, magic, balloons, and other creative means since he was a kid!

Karl brings the Gospel to children in a creative and energetic way that is unique to him. In his training classes, Karl brings the joy of Children's Ministry to life and with it, creative and practical ideas and principles that will recharge your ministry.

Currently the children's pastor at the Village Church of Barrington, Illinois, Karl holds a Bachelors degree in Bible Theology from Moody Bible Institute, is completing a Masters in Children's Ministry at the Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Karl has taught workshops across the country at various conferences and is the founder of Kidology Inc., a non-profit ministry dedicated to equipping and encouraging children's workers. Kidology ministers through the KidologyWeb, a powerful interactive online database of creative ideas and resources, the Kidology University, the largest Children's Ministry conference in the Midwest, and the Kidology Foundation, which provides grants to small ministries and scholarships to students in training for a career in children's ministry.

Karl has had numerous articles published, has written and contributed to several books, and Wrote the Awesome Adventure children's discipleship series with his wife, but his greatest joy is still working directly with children. Together with his wife, Sara, Karl has been leading the Kid's Church service in their church for over ten years. His mission is to reach and teach as many children as possible with the Good News of God's love and in the process to enlist, equip and encourage others to do the same.
