 WHAT WAS KINGDOM KID?

SPECIAL EVENT REPORT!  Kingdom Kid was a fantastic event!  Almost 600 people came (mostly kids) and had a great time!  Over 180 kids came to our church for the first time - and 93 met King Jesus for the first time!  At the footer below, be sure to check out the pictures!

Kingdom Kid is an event that kids will long remember!  At the Village Church we believe in creating positive memories for kids in a world that more and more is providing negative events and unhealthy entertainment.  Kids need to laugh, to cheer, to celebrate and to be reminded about the things that matter most.

At the center of the program is Village Church's Children's Pastor, Karl Bastian, a nationally known children's pastor and a children's entertainer who has traveled around the world entertaining and teaching children in a variety of creative and engaging methods.  Whether he is on his unicycle, juggling, doing magic tricks or doing puppets, Karl knows how to engage and excite kids and create a program that interests them from beginning to end.  Locally Karl has performed at Arnet C. Lines Elementary School (Assembly and Parent Night),  St. Anne's School and Parish, Christian Heritage Academy, Hough Street Elementary School , and others.

The program will consist of live music from the "Castle Rock" Band, (made up of teens from Village Church) the magic of Karl Bastian (stage illusions including levitation!), drama, storytelling, puppetry, and interactive kid-friendly teaching interwoven through all the creative elements.

The entire program takes place on a stage with a 40 foot castle set complete with a draw bridge, mote, towers, lighting effects, and so much more.  You won't believe your eyes!

The message is a positive one directing kids attention to the Host of the event whose Throne sits upon the top of the giant castle: King Jesus.  The Bible presents Jesus as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and kids will be encouraged to learn about Jesus and to respond to Him as a Friend as well as the King of their lives.  The Bible makes many references to God as our ultimate King, and that is the positive message of hope that will be presented in a world whose daily news and entertainment offers little hope for today's kids.  Kids will leave introduced to the King who loves them and the King who desires to help them in their lives.  This is an event that can have a transforming effect on every child who comes.
