 Common Questions about KINGDOM KID?

Here are some common questions. If you have a question not answered here, simply send a note to kingdomkid@vcbkids.org

Is there a cost?
There is no charge, and there will be no collection.  This event is a gift from our church to the community.
Is it the same program both nights?
No.  It is a completely different program each evening!  The music will be similar but the magic tricks will be different!  On Thursday there is a powerful drama and on Friday night a really special story illustrated on a giant screen via Power Point.
If my child can only come for one night, is that O.K.?
Yes!  While the program is different each night, each evening is designed to 'stand alone' so that if a child can only come on one night, they will not miss out on anything.  The only continuing element is the Toybox Tale, (a live acted and broadcasted mini-movie using toys that Pastor Karl does) but the episode(s) missed can be watched online at www.toyboxtales.com
Do parents need to stay?  Can they stay?
If kids are age Kindergarten through sixth grade, they may be dropped off by parents and picked up at the end.  It is recommended to arrive early (6:00 - 6:15) to get the best seating.  We will have A LOT of adult supervision. (50+)  However, parents are welcome to attend as well.  There will be child seating up close to the stage and castle and parent seating in the rear, but, of course, parents can choose to have their child sit with them.
I see the age range is K - 6th grade, can younger or older kids come as well?
Certainly.  Younger kids may come, but need to be the responsibility of their parent(s) the entire time. In other words, you can bring a three year old, but they must sit with you the entire time.  (Younger kids will still enjoy the program.)  Older kids are welcome, but also should be with parents and reminded that the program is designed for younger kids, but they will enjoy is also. (As will adults!)
Is there nursery care for infants?
No, since we are unable to accurately anticipate nursery needs, we are not providing a nursery.
What is this about prizes?
Every guest or first time visitor will receive a goodie bag filled with neat and valuable gifts for kids.  Kids can also win some really nice Kingdom-themed prizes for bringing a friend.  On the registration form is a place for 'brought by' and registration slips will be drawn a few minutes before the program starts and they will be given a 'prize ticket' so that at the end they can go choose a prize.
Do all kids need to register?
Any child who attends Village Church on Sunday or our Tuesday evening Awana Club is ALREADY registered.  They simply need to show up and a greeter will make a note of their attendance.  New quests must register to get the goodie bag.
Will it end of time?
We will make every effort to end as close to 8:00 p.m. as possible especially on Thursday evening since it is a school night.  On Friday night, we may go slightly longer, but no longer than 8:15 p.m.
Is there free parking?
YES!  We have a very large parking lot.  Parking should not be a problem.
What if more people come than can be seated?
First of all: COME EARLY to get a good seat! Doors open at 5:45 p.m.  Should we reach our maximum seating capacity on Thursday evening, we will issue priority seating passes for Friday evening to those turned away and save them a seat in the front for Friday evening.
